Children are naturally curious and eager to find out about the world around them.  At Stepping Stones Nursery School, we build on children’s curiosity and enthusiasm to learn by developing a child centred learning environment which encourages their creativity and inventiveness.

Each day your child will enjoy a balance of directed and free choice play activities which will give them the opportunity to experience the four key aspects of early years development and learning.  These are emotional, social; cognitive and physical development.  Our staff plan these activities responsively to the children’s interests and development needs, to ensure the learning is of greater value to the children as individuals.  

We value the prior knowledge and skills that children bring to the nursery from home and encourage them to build on these by actively participating in the planning and direction of their future learning
